Cicely brings a diverse background of experiences with her to work with the Nauck community. She has earned her Bachelor & Master’s Degrees in Social Work. Her work and life experiences have empowered her to promote equality, fight for justice and to advocate for others. Prior to coming to BAJCDC, Cicely provided client and community centered services at Portsmouth Public Schools and Virginia Supportive Housing. At Portsmouth Public Schools, it was her duty to identify and assess academic problems of students, including reviewing factors in the home, school and community. At Virginia Supportive Housing, Cicely was called upon to maintain contact with clients to ensure engagement with services, have the ability to identify emerging needs and to promote goal attainment. She also spent several years as a contract administrator for a large defense contractor in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area, where she supported new business proposal efforts, actively participated in the daily operations of the program office to meet schedules and/or resolve complex issues, and monitored contract performance.
Arlington County holds a special place in Cicely’s heart. She was born and raised in Arlington. She has been a Nauck resident since 2002 and her love for community has grown since being here. Every day, she looks forward to serving the Nauck community through creating opportunities, empowering, providing support and assistance to residents of the community and surrounding areas.
